Parents are the primary catechist, the first and more important teachers of the Faith for their children. Family Ministry's goal is to give parents the tools and resources to walk with their teens towards Christ and ultimately form joyful disciples who know, love, and serve him. 

• Step 1) Read the Session on your own and prepare what you need.
• Step 2) Pick a time throughout the week and with your teen commit to that time (30 mins tops) un-interrupted, no distractions
• Step 3) Be open to anything your teen shares with you, this isn’t the time for discipline or demanding them to be in a higher spiritual space, accept them for where they are and walk with them from there. A lot of times, our teens haven’t spoken about the faith in-depth and don’t have the vocabulary or comfort to just jump in, so it takes time before you have that incredible conversation that has you both floating.
• Step 4) Ask questions! Be an active role in the lesson and share a lot along the way.
• Step 5) Do it again next week!

Theresa (Middle School Minister) and Bry (High School Minister) are here to help and will be hosting Zoom meetings for parents twice a month (really 4 times if you’re bilingual.
