PTO Meeting Minutes
August 16, 2010
Meeting called to order at 9:15 am
Present at the meting: Karen O’Brien, Staci Barger, Eileen Miles, Lydia Gonzalez, Maura Brady-Er and Patty Farmer
Issues Discussed
Chick-fil-A fundraiser on Spirit night Sept.2nd. Chick-fil-A will provide stickers for the kids to wear that evening.
Possible family night at Mel’s Lonestar Lanes. Eileen will be looking into this. The potential date is Sept. 29th. There is an early dismissal on that day. This event will be a social outing for St. helen families in order to promote community building.
Lunchroom cleanup duties assigned as follows for each class level.
August - 8th grade
September - Kindergarten
October - 3rd grade
November - 7th grade
December - 2nd grade
January - 5th grade
February - Pre K
March - 1st grade
April - 4th grade
May - 6th grade
Parent Breakfast Dates and grade levels assigned as follows:
September 1st - Pre K
November 3rd - 1st and 2nd grades
January 5th - 3rd and 4th grades
March 2 - 5th and 6th grades
May 4th - 7th and 8th grades
Karen will contact Tammy Riggan about fall festival baskets. Keep same themes for baskets as last year.
Room parent meeting will be held September 1st after the parent breakfast.
Discussed new ideas for spirit wear.
